Mamuno emerges majority leader of Adamawa Assembly
Mr Bathiya Wesley, Speaker Adamawa House of Assembly has announced Mrs Kate Mamuno of Demsa Constituency (PDP) as majority leader of the eight assembly.
Wesley, announced this on the floor of the house while presiding Monday sitting in Yola.
He also announced the member representing Maiha constituency, Alhaji Ahmed Jingi Belel as Deputy Majority Leader, Suleiman Alkali of Yola North constituency as minority leader.
He added that Yerima Moses of Michika constituency is to serve as chief whip while Mr Japheth Hammanjabu of Verre is to serve as Deputy Chief Whip with Mr Umar Ismaila of Fufore /Gurin as Minority Whip.
Others announced are Yohanna Jauro of Mubi South constituency as Deputy Minority leader; Abdulmalik Musa of Ganye constituency is to serve as Deputy Minority Whip.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Speaker also announced composition of house standing committees with Deputy Speaker Muhammad Jijiwa as Chairman house committee on Justice, Judiciary and Entrepreneurship Development among other committees.
