Ribadu takes over from Monguno
….promises to showcase what he learnt
Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, on Monday formally took over from the erstwhile NSA Babagana Monguno.
Recanting his experience so far on his verified twitter handle, Ribadu agreed that the task before him is very high.

The ex-anti graft Czar explained that he wore gifts presented to him by those he described as mentors.
According to him, from long flowing gown known as babarigar to shoes, and cap were gifts by those he said had shaped the man he has become.
He wrote, “As I assume office today, I reminisce on the burden we carry in the pursuit of public service. To underscore the weight of the moment I decided to wear priceless gifts from those who’ve shaped my life: a babbar riga and shoes from the late Dr. Mahmud Tukur and a cap gifted me by late IGP Ibrahim Coomassie; two extraordinary patriots and mentors. Over time, we realise that we are shaped by our upbringing and experiences and by those icons we idolise.”
While acknowledging the task ahead of him and his responsibility which is to quell the countless attacks by providing the needed leadership to security agencies in order to bring sanity, Ribadu said he has learnt to practise his teaching from his heroes.
“However, what sets us apart is not only the lessons we learnt but our ability to practise what we’ve learned. I am grateful for the heroes I have chosen and for the rare privilege to serve this great nation again,” Ribadu added.
