Taraba gov Agbu, gets new name

Residents of Taraba State on Thursday named Governor Kefas Agbu, as Mr Time Keeper, after being prompt at three consecutive government functions in the state.
The residents were finally overwhelmed by the governor’s promptness at the swearing-in ceremony of the Secretary to the State Government; Chief J.T Katafs when the governor arrived the venue of the programme 20 minutes to the scheduled time of 11 am.
Our correspondent reports that the residents after noticing that the culture of African time was not in governor Agbu’s blood considering his military background, the people decided to honour him after the function with a new name by hailing him, Mr Time Keeper, Mr. Time Keeper Mr. Time Keeper.
Earlier, Agbu noted during the event that the appointment of Chief Katafs as SSG, was a directive from God after praying for the best candidate that would assist him in taking Taraba to an enviable hight in the position.
Agbu also disclosed that non of his appointment would be base on lobby but by whom God directs him to.
“God has shown me in my prayers for who would assist me in the tax of taking Taraba state to be one of the best Nigeria state where all Nigerians would see it as a workshop and an economic hub of the country that, Chief JT Katafs is the best man to make me succeed.
“Non. Of my appointment would be base on lobby. It would strictly on whom God ask me to appoint because, I want to transform Taraba state, make it a workshop and home for all Nigerians as an economic hub of the country,” Agbu noted.
In his response, Chief Katafs, Secretary to the Taraba State Government, thanked governor Agbu for finding him worthy to serve in his Government.
He promised to display diligence to ensure the needed quality services that are required for the development of Taraba are delivered.
