CG Forest Security Service decorates Gombe SSG with ACG rank for North-East
……as Commandant General pays glowing tribute to the new ACG
The Commandant General of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service Joshua Osatime Wale, has decorated the Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, with the rank of Assistant Commandant General, in charge of Research and Planning North-East Zone of the Service.
Represented by the Assistant Commandant General ACG, North-East zone Haruna Umar Furo, the number one hunter and Forest Security officer in the country says the appointment of Njodi as ACG in charge of Research and Planning followed a unanimous decision at the Service NEC meeting held recently.
He said, “the bill for the establishment of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service has passed the legislative processes of both chambers of the National Assembly and is currently on the desk of the President awaiting assent.”
The Commandant General of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service explains that the service has been playing a complimentary role towards combating crime and criminality especially those who hibernate in the forest.
Speaking shortly after being inducted and decorated as ACG in charge of Research and Planning North East, the Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Njodi said his appointment came in tandem with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s determination to rid off the state of crime and criminality.
He said it has been the desire of the present administration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya to make the state safe and habitable for all men and women of good will.
Njodi therefore expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service for the elevation promising to abide by the rules governing the service.
The newly decorated ACG pledge to contribute his quota towards the growth and development of the Service in particular and the nation in general.
The well attended colourful ceremony was attended by Commandant of the NHFSS Kano, Jigawa, Yobe, Adamawa and Gombe State commands as well as the acting Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries.
