Commandant Achir Abraham retires after statutory active service in NSCDC

Commandant Achir Abraham, on Thursday retired from active service in Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that prior to his retirement, Abraham was State Commandant. He took over from ACG Goni Waziri, just before 2023 general elections.

The occasion which was well attended by prominent sons, daughters and other security agencies, where many poured glowing tributes to the outgone commandant.
He was described by many attendees as God’s fearing, dedicated, patriotic and professional in the discharge of his functions hence, he was able to serve without blemishes.
While extolling the good qualities and achievements in the state, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who was represented by the Director Special Services and Political, Government House, Alhaji Bala Sarki, described Abraham as thorough gentleman who discharged his duties professionally.
Other heads of various security agencies, as well as other important dignitaries in the state commended his leadership style and praised him for contributing to the development of the state and ensure that peace and tranquility in the state prevailed.
In his valedictory speech, Commandant Abraham, charged officers and men to remain committed, resolute, resilient and focused in the protection of lives and property of the citizens including critical National assets and infrastructure.
He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to his management team for their unwavering support during his tour of duty to Gombe State and also thanked the Commandant General, Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi, for the opportunity given to him to serve in that capacity.
