Gara-Gombe publishes foremost North-East Newspaper
….. NORTH EAST TIMES to bridge the gap of news reportage
Immediate past Special Adviser to Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, on Information Management and Strategy Ahmed Shuaibu Gara-Gombe, has announced the publication of NORTH EAST TIMES.
In a press statement announcing the Paper’s maiden edition, which was obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA, the paper is geared towards bridging the gap of news reportage in the region.
Our correspondent reports that NORTH EAST TIMES is printed and published by Pluriflash Nigeria Limited.

Gara-Gombe, a renowned sports promoter, and external consultant to Moroccan Avadas, would lead on the Paper’s board as Publisher, Chief Executive Officer.
With Najib Sani, as Editor, Chief Operating Officer; Chima Azubuike, Deputy Editor; and Aliyu Danladi, as Associate Editor.
The paper which currently publishes bi-weekly, has a team of reporters scattered across the region

The statement partly read, “This is to inform the general public that the maiden edition of “NORTH EAST TIMES”, a newspaper with special interest in the North-East region is set to be released soon.
“Adhering to the tenet of journalism as a tool for national unity and development through information, education, entertainment and orientation, the newspaper will focus on the North-East region, which has been identified with negative happenings since the advent of Boko Haram insurgency at the expense of socioeconomic development in the region.
“The NORTH EAST TIMES was established to bridge the gap of news reportage in the region as our reporters, scattered across the states of the region, have been trained to report the unreported, the other side of the news.”
While assuring its potential customers of better times ahead, North East Times vowed to report all sides of the news, bearing in mind the need to visit the unreached, in a bid to covering all angles.
“We intend to provide our esteemed readers the different sides to the news, tell unique stories especially those ones overlooked by the foreign and national platforms as we intend to reach the unreached, visit hard to reach vicinities in a bid to provide the other side.
“We assure readers of the paper’s commitment to best practices in journalism as the administration, correspondents and an editorial team of seasoned journalists geared towards working together to promote the progress and development of society without inclination to tribal, religious or partisan bias.
