Ex-Gombe Gov’s Media Consultant, Mato dies
Former Media Consultant to Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, Alhaji Mato Adamu, has passed on PERISCOPE NIGERIA gathered.
Adamu who was a veteran Journalist and former staff of BBC-Hausa Service died on Friday after a brief illness.
He had a brief working relationship with the incumbent Governor of Gombe State, as media consultant. He would be remembered for projecting the development strides of the Yahaya-led administration.
According to a statement circulated widely which was obtained by our correspondent, the deceased would be buried on Saturday
The statement partly read, “INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHIRAJI’UN.
“The death has occurred of Alh Mato Adamu* a veteran Journalist and former staff of BBC-Hausa Service after a brief illness.
“Funeral is slated at Specialist Hospital Gombe by 11am tomorrow Saturday 12th August, 2023
“May Allah (SWA) forgive his shortcomings.”
