Labour protest: I’ll rollout my palliative strategies next week – Gov Kefas

Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas on Wednesday disclosed that he will rollout his administration’s palliative strategies to alleviate the effect of fuel subsidy remover.
Agbu disclosed this while addressing the organised union in the state who joined the nationwide labour protest.
According to the governor, he has already instructed the Secretary to Government of the State, to invite both labour leaders, marketers, the road transport workers and school head teachers for a round table meeting to strategize on how the palliative idea would impact on the poor masses.

He also appealed to labour union to be patient and ask relevant questions on how the plan palliative would impact on the poor masses.
“I wish to appeal to Nigerians to be patient about the fuel subsidy remover and ask relevant questions about how the plan palliative would impact positively on the lives of the poor masses.
“I wish to disclosed here that, my palliative strategies would be rollout next week to alleviate the effect of fuel subsidy remover for Tarabans.
“I have already instructed the SGS to invite both labour leaders, marketers, road transport workers and school head teachers for a round table meeting to strategize on how the palliative idea would impact on the poor masses.
“We are aware of the untold hardship inflicted on the citizens by the waves of fuel subsidy remover and we are going to intervene in no distance time and restore hope of better days ahead for the citizens,” Gov Kefas disclosed.
Earlier, Comrade Peter Jidieh, the state NLC chairman explained that their action was in compliance to the NLC national headquarters directives for a nationwide protest against the hardship imposed on Nigerians by the fuel subsidy remover and other workers demands to alleviate the effect of the hardship.
