Njodi urges NEDC to redouble development strides in North-East
Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has called on the North-East Development Commission, to redouble effort and be more decisive in its quest to expedite development of the region devastated by Boko Haram insurgency reason for which the commission was established.

Njodi made the call when he received on a congratulatory visit the Gombe State Coordinator of NEDC, Usman Baba and staff at his office on Tuesday.
He said Gombe State is expecting a lot from the commission owing to the influx of IDPs from neighbouring states ravaged by insurgency and called on the Gombe office to always lias with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies in order to identify areas requiring promt attention.

While appreciating the commission effort so far, Njodi said Gombe State facilities have been overstressed as a result of the influx of IDPs calling for more support of the commission to reduce the huge burden on the state government.
He assured the commission of the State Government support and collaboration at all times and appreciated his visitors for the show of solidarity by the congratulatory visit.

Earlier, leader of the delegation and state Coordinator Usman Baba, said they were at the SSG’s office to felicitate with him over his reappointment by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, and to also congratulate him on his successful turbaning as Madakin Kaltungo, praying God to guide and protect him.
Baba used the opportunity to appreciate the SSG for being supportive to the Commission office in Gombe assuring of maintaining the good working relationship between the Commission and the office and by extension the State Government.
