Omokri: Obi denies inducing Arise TV’s Rufai
Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the just concluded 2023 election, Peter Obi, on Monday, denied sponsoring the burial ceremony of the father of Arise Television Broadcaster Oseni Rufai.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that renowned critic Reno Omokri, recently alleged that the reason Rufai promotes Obi on his television show was sequel to financial support he got during his late dad’s burial.
Reacting to the allegation on X formerly Twitter, Obi decried Omokri’s claims, stressing that they were pigment of his thoughts.
According to Obi, he would never induce anyone to his favour, stressing that he doesn’t know the village of the Rufai’s.
He disclosed that its was unrealistic for Omokri and his likes to delight in fabricating lies, against him, adding that he dislikes maligning people in the name of politics describing his style as issue oriented.
“I do however need to clarify a few issues, especially since a third party is involved. There is a recent case where my name has been mentioned in a malicious and cheap blackmail against one of Nigeria’s best Television presenters, Mr. Rufai Oseni, who has stood sternly,” Obi partly wrote.
