Professor Njodi hosts Kuji Deba
…..harps on peace
In continuation with consultation with the Traditional Institution in Gombe, Secretary to Government of the State Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, on Friday met and interacted with Kuji Deba QS Ahmed Usman, district, and village heads of the emirate.
During the interactive meeting, Njodi said it was in furtherance of Governor Yahaya’s disposition and desire for peace and peaceful co-existence and recognising the important role of the Traditional Institution in the achievement of this noble ingredient of development.

The SGS explained the transfer of the Department of Chieftaincy Affairs from the Ministry for Local Government to his office, adding that its was aimed to among other objectives accord the Traditional Institution in the state the attention it deserves.
He assured them of government’s readiness to listen and engage them in policy and programme formulations given their strategic connection to the people living in their domains as well as first hand knowledge of the basic needs of the people as such will guide the government in addressing the people’s concerns.

While commending the royal father’s vigilance and commitment to peace in Deba Emirate and the state at large, Professor Njodi advised him to be more proactive and ensure effective synergy with security agencies to help sustain existing peace.
On his part, the Kuji Deba QS Usman, appreciated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for initiating the engagement through the SGS assuring that his commitment to peace remain unwavering.
He used the occasion to congratulate Yahaya on his reelection and Professor Njodi on his well deserved reappointment as Secretary to Government of the State.
