Danladi Adamu assumes as Permanent Secretary, Gombe Ministry of Water Resources
The newly posted Permanent Secretary Ministry of Water, Environment and Forest Resources, Danladi Adamu, has assumed duty in the ministry.
In a brief handing over ceremony which took place in the office of the Permanent Secretary, was attended by the outgoing Permanent Secretary Alhaji Salisu Adamu Sambo, the General Manager Water Board, Directors of the ministry and other staff of the ministry who where on ground to welcome and receive the new Permanent Secretary in a colourful ceremony.
In his address shortly after receiving and signing the hand over notes, Adamu, expressed delight and gratitude to Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, and the Acting Head of Civil Service for finding him worthy of his new post of duty in the ministry of Water,Environment and Forest Resources.
He used the medium to solicit for kind gesture accorded to his predecessor as he can clearly see the support and cooperation all over the faces of staff present.
He thereafter intimated the staff of the ongoing merger of the ministry with that of Environment and Forest Resources and assured them of hitch-free process as the two ministry where together a long time ago before there separation.
While harping on excellent service delivery and realisation of stated objectives and goals of the ministry, Adamu admonished staff to be very diligent and hardworking as he would not tolerate laziness and distraction to stated duties.
He urged staff to do their jobs excellently to deliver on key policy’s of the Muhammadu Yahaya-led government.
Earlier in his welcome address, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Salisu Adamu Sambo, who welcomed and introduced his successor gave a brief overview of the Ministry, its Agencies and Directorates also conducted the Permanent Secretary round the ministry and showed him vehicles and other assets of the ministry which where handed over to him.
He equally asked the staff of the ministry to support and cooperate with The new Permanent Secretary of the ministry just as it was accorded to him. He wished his successor well and asked for God to guide him in his duties.
