Dattuwa Kumo: A real definition of modesty and generosity

Honourable Dattuwa Ali Kumo, has distinguished himself from other people, especially politicians in our community or country at large, through the ideal human attributes he possesses.
If you ask me to define Modesty and Generosity –I would simply say “Modesty and Generosity are habits of Hon Dattuwa Ali Kumo, of which anyone who interacts with him can testify.”
I have the privilege to interact and work with many people ranging from schools, unions or associations, mentors and politicians, But I can confidently say that people like Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo, are very rare to be found anywhere on earth.
In terms of political mentorship, Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo, treats his mentees like his biological sons which distinguished him from other personalities. He always advises you on how to succeed and build a future that will be beneficial to you and your family.
When I always take a pen to write about Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo, I used to find that even a book would not be enough to reflect his impact on my life –personally, talk less of other thousands of people he has impacted their lives.
Dattuwa remains the only politician that I interact with who upholds the real principles of the likes of the Late Sir Ahmadu Bello (Sardaunan Sokoto), – not unwillingness to know where you from or your background before he can help you.
On so many occasions, when he kindly offered me some support, I used to feel ashamed that the support was many for me and like I was too small for all the opportunities –His words were always “We are supporting you today, so that tomorrow you will confidently support other people to appreciate what we have done for you today.”
I believe that mentees of Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo must uphold the virtues of ‘Modesty and Generosity’, because anywhere we find ourselves in the future, we will be the products of the two –courtesy of our mentor, Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo.
His offers and support are always flexible to ensure that they align with your ambition of growth and career plan. He listens when you talk and will allow you to speak even during intense conversations –that’s to tell you the level of leadership qualities he possesses.
I rest my pen by reaffirming that ‘Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo is the real definition of modesty and generosity.’
