How Gombe Varsity student allegedly killed day-old son
A yet to be identified student of Gombe State University has been arrested by the school security outfit and handed to the police for allegedly throwing a day-old baby from a three-storey building after delivery.
Our correspondent reports that based on online viral videos the baby died based on the impact of the fall from the girls’ hotel located within the university premises.
The mother who was obviously worried about what to do with the child decided to end his life in a gruesome way.
Reacting, Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mohammed Abubakar, confirmed the incident, saying that the culprit has been handed to the police.
Abubakar said, “the school security has handed her over to the police.”
When contacted about the identity of the mother, Police Public Relations Officer ASP Mahid Abubakar, said they were still gathering details.
“For now, we are yet to receive this report officially. Any further development we will be communicated please,” Abubakar said.
