INEC rewards Gombe staff with letters’ of commendation
In recognition of staff dedication and commitment to the mandate of the Commission, the management of Independent National Electoral Commission, Gombe State, on Tuesday, presented letters of commendation to some staff who distinguished themselves in various assigned duties before, during and after the 2023 General Elections.

Speaking at a brief ceremony in honour of the recipients, the Resident Electoral Commissioner Gombe State, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, appreciated the staff for their hard work and sacrifices, adding that it contributed in no small measure to the success of the 2023 General Elections in the state.

According to him, out of the pool of dedicated staff, the recipients were selected by management for their exceptional performances in the discharge of their schedule of duties as well as other assigned responsibilities during the period under review.”

He further stated that the gesture was meant to encourage the recipients to continue to put in their best in the service of the Commission and also spur others to be diligent in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The recipients include Engineer Saidu Bappah, Head of Unit (HoU) Maintenance; Abubakar Jadda, Executive and Personal Assistant to REC; Ibrahim Sabo, HoU Personnel; Saidu Umar, HoU Accounts and Mohorret Bigun, HoU Public Affairs & Protocol.
Responding on behalf of the recipients, Saidu Umar, appreciated the REC and management for the recognition and pledged to even do more for the Commission.
