Skill Acquisition: Taraba Gov to engage 5,000 youths, women
In renewed efforts to alleviate poverty and reduce youth unemployment, the government of Taraba State, has set to train 5,000 youths and women in acquiring skills that will help them now and in the future. This is in line with the governor’s “Moving Forward” agenda to ensure that the state experience progressive changes in all spheres.
The Commissioner for Co-operative and Poverty Alleviation, Habu James Philip while signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on operationalisation of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment Skills and Vocational Training Centre Ibi, in Ibi Local Government Area of the State disclosed this in Abuja.
In his statement, “this job creation is key in poverty reduction and aligns with the governor’s agenda of moving the state forward. We are glad to be taking over the Skill Acquisition Centre and to manage it effectively for the benefit of the good people of our state.”
