2023 SSCE: 61.60% scored five credits including English, Mathematics, others

The National Examination Council, on Tuesday, released the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination SSCE Internal Results
NECO Registrar, Professor Dantani Wushishi, who briefed the press at their headquarters in Niger State announced that the 2023 result is the best in recent times.
He presented a summary of the result as follows.
The summary of the result shows that 60.60 per cent scored five credits including English and Mathematics.
12,030 representing 0.07 per cent against 13,594 representing 0.13 per cent in 2022.
Number of candidates who registered for the exam was 1,205,888 and
Number of candidates who sat for the exams 1,196985.
616,398 male and 580,587 females sat for the Examination.
Number of candidates with five credits and above including English and Maths 737308 61.60 per cent.
Number of candidates with five credits irrespective of English and Mathematics is 1,013,611 representing 84.68 per cent.
Wushishi announced that 94 schools were involved in malpractice while 54 teachers were also indicted.
