Njodi harps unity as catalyst for development
The Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has identified unity and peaceful co-existence as necessary catalyst for development of societies.
Njodi who made the assertion in a message to a seminar convened by the Coalition of Tangale Waja Youths and Students Associations also encouraged the participants to assiduously work to create a society free of discrimination and prejudice of any form.
Represented by the Provost College of Education, Billiri Dr Bertha Abdu, the SSG further challenge the Tangale Youths to always prioritise meaningful dialogue and open communication in their quest to address issues of concern in the area.
He said as young persons committed to developing their communities they should strive to create enabling and inclusive environment where everyone will feel safe and secure to contribute as well as reach their full potentials.
Njodi also reminded them to ensure understanding and respect for each others diversity, strengthening existing traditional networks for future generations and creating equal opportunities for all devoid of any form of bias.
He further noted that integration of Communities in Tangale Waja remains imperative for the people to attain the required development and survival stressing that hard work, resilience, cooperation courage, commitment to social justice and commitment to peace should be their guiding principles.
Njodi noted that Tangale Waja as a region has been known for its strong sense of community with diversity as integral part of its rich history which has been passed from generation to generation requires disciplined and courageous youths keep it thriving.
The SGS cautioned them against engaging in negative vices that will set the region backward such as drugs and substance abuse, kidnapping for ransome, violence. sexual abuse and encouraged them to hold onto entrepreneurship, schooling and support to communal services.
The Seminar with the theme; Prospect for Integration of Tangale Waja and the Road to Foster Unity and Peaceful Co-existence was aimed at exploring youth potentials for national development.
