The event took place on Monday in Evolution hotel Tumfure, where some schools across Gombe State participated in inter-school quiz competition on climate change.

GGSS Doma came first, followed by GDSS Gandu second with a one point difference and GSSS II placing third.
Periscope Nigeria recalls that within the weekend, GDSS Gandu came first in essay writing organised by All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools in Gombe State.
The quiz which was organised by United Nations Children’s Fund was competitive and interactive as the students received awareness lecture and sensitisation on Climate Landscape Analysis, its risks to children and the society in general.
The students also engaged in media chats on the risk factors and causes of climate change and how to curtail it for the betterment of our environment and peaceful life.

Apart from the awareness lecture on the risk factors of climate change, there was also a symbolic tree planting in one of the schools to commemorate the World Children’s Day and the launch of Climate Landscape Analysis by UNICEF Bauchi field office in Gombe State.
