Hajia Farida Mohammed, ANA Presidential candidate sends delegates welcome message
Dear Esteemed ANA Delegates,
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to all the delegates attending the 42 convention of our great Association.
As a dedicated member and a presidential candidate, I stand before you with a profound sense of responsibility and a deep commitment to the ideals that our esteemed organisation represents. I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support and trust you have bestowed upon me by considering me as a candidate for the prestigious position of ANA President.
Our journey within the Association of Nigerian Authors has been one marked by dedication, passion, and collective efforts towards the growth and prosperity of literature in our beloved nation. Those of us who have been steadfast in supporting the growth of ANA to the esteemed status it holds today bear no hidden agenda of destruction but rather a sincere dedication to building upon the significant gains we have achieved together. Our collective dream is to see ANA continue to thrive as a beacon of literary excellence, fostering creativity, and empowering voices that might otherwise go unheard.
In the spirit of fairness and accountability, I urge each and every one of you, esteemed delegates, to carefully consider the antecedents and commitments of the candidates before casting your votes. It is imperative that we assess the track records of those aspiring to lead our organisation. Look to the positions of service they have held before, the contributions they have made, and the sincerity of their commitment to the cause of literature and ANA’s mission. Your votes can shape the future of ANA and the literary landscape of Nigeria.
I firmly believe that our diversity is our strength. We come from various backgrounds, cultures, and traditions, but our common love for literature unites us. Let us celebrate this diversity and embrace the rich tapestry of ideas and experiences that our members bring to the table. Together, we can chart a path forward that honors our heritage, encourages literary innovation, and empowers the next generation of Nigerian writers.
As we gather at this convention, let us engage in meaningful dialogues, share our visions, and collaborate to strengthen the foundation upon which ANA stands. I am here not just as a candidate but as a fellow guardian of our literary heritage, and I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure that ANA continues to flourish under my stewardship.
I look forward to meeting each and every one of you, engaging in fruitful discussions, and collectively shaping the future of our beloved Association of Nigerian Authors. Thank you for your attention, your trust, and your unwavering support.
Warm regards,
Hajia Farida Mohammed
Presidential Candidate,
Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA)
