The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Gombe State Chapter has hailed the emergence of the recently elected National Chairperson Aisha Ibrahim Bura.
Periscope Nigeria reports that Bura emerged in Abuja at the 11th Triennial National Delegates Conference, where she defeated her main challenger and incumbent Ladi Bala.

According to a press statement jointly signed on Tuesday by Bome Aaron Samutar, Gombe Coordinator NAWOJ; and Abigail Kolo, Secretary Gombe NAWOJ; the association commended the process, praying that God would grant the newly elected officials grace to deliver.
The statement partly read, “We wish to felicitate with the new NAWOJ National Chairperson Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim Bura, and all the newly elected Executive Officers for emerging victorious at the just concluded 11th Triennial National Delegates Conference of our great and noble association which took place in Abuja.”
The association also lauded the recently reelected Zonal leaders, adding “NAWOJ Gombe specifically identifies with Madam Dorcas Philemon over her re-election as the zone E Vice President and the new Zonal Secretary Hajiya Hauwa Aliyu . We are delighted to have you stir the affairs of the zone and we are optimistic that your reigns will further unify us as sisters in the zone for effective unionism and professionalism.”
NAWOJ Gombe, while urging them to accept the warmest assurance of the esteemed members from the Council, its prayed the entire cabinet successful reign, “As we look forward to a smooth sailing for the president and all national officers through the next three years, it is our sincere prayer that God almighty will grant you the grace to deliver what is expected of you towards enhancing the association in varying capacities,” the statement added.
