The upcoming National Sport Festival in Ogun state isn’t just a showcase of athletic prowess; it’s a testament to the state’s commitment to excellence and unity.

In May, the state government, under the leadership of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, took a significant step by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Government. This partnership, sealed with the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, solidified Ogun State’s readiness to host a world-class festival in 2024.

Governor Abiodun, a staunch advocate for excellence, appointed a highly successful sports administrator and investor as the Local Organising Committee (LOC) chairman. This strategic move not only underscores the state’s dedication to delivering an incredible sports festival but also assures the nation of a memorable event.

As anticipation builds for this grand occasion, Ogun state stands ready, backed by capable hands and sponsors willing to support this bid. The commitment to making the festival a unique and unparalleled ceremony is evident, and under Governor Abiodun’s leadership, we can expect nothing short of excellence.

The Federal Government’s decision to entrust Ogun State with this responsibility will undoubtedly be met with success and leave a lasting legacy. Ogun state is poised to hold a memorable festival, making every resident proud and ensuring that the federal government’s confidence in Ogun state is well-placed.”

Congratulations to all Ogun state indigenes; this promises to be a remarkable celebration of unity, athleticism, and national pride.
