…..witnesses club’s training to boost moral
As part of deliberate efforts to boost the performance of the state owned football club the Secretary to Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, was on Wednesday at the Pantami Stadium to witness the training session of Gombe United Football Club.
The visit to the training session of Gombe United comes after a promise made by the SGS on Tuesday during an exclusive meeting with critical stakeholders
Njodi encouraged the state’s team not to be deterred by recent setbacks but to brace up towards making the State proud.
The SGS in his usual magnanimity announced a personal donation of N1m tasking them to redouble effort in their performance.
He assured that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya will continue to support the team in every way possible, adding “You must work hard and always go for the goal in both your Home and away matches.Go and make Gombe State proud.”
The stakeholders’ meeting which took place on Tuesday had in attendance the Commissioner of Youth & Sports Development Adamu Inuwa Pantami, some Permanent Secretaries, the General Manager and Management of Gombe United.
Others are the Chairman Gombe state Football Association FA and Members as well as the Technical Adviser of the Club discussed extensively on ways to improve the performance of the club in the 2023 Nigeria Professional League
Elated management team of Gombe United and players appreciated the visit of the Chief Scribe to their training session and his personal donation of N1m, describing the gesture as a moral booster.
