The Senator representing Taraba North senatorial district, Shuaibu Isa Lau, on Wednesday commenced the distribution of food packs as palliative to Persons With Disabilities and pensioners in Yorro, Jalingo, Karim-Lamido and Ardo-Kola local government areas of Taraba State.

Speaking, Gidado Aminu, the Senior Special Assistant to Lau on constituency matter, disclosed during the event that the gesture was to complement both the Federal and State Government efforts toward alleviating the effect of fuel subsidy removal on the vulnerable constituents.
He also noted that all the six Local Government Areas in the constituency would be captured in the distribution.
“This gesture is senator Lau’s effort to alleviate the hash effect of the fuel subsidy removal especially on the vulnerable persons and pensioners. The representatives of all the local government are to proceed and distribute the foodstuffs to the targeted persons at the respected local governments of the constituency,” he noted.
Mr Samson Buba, and Ali Haruna, while receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the Senator, “for his Godly heart to give to the vulnerable, regardless of religion, tribal or political line,” they stated in separate interviews with Periscope Nigeria.
They prayed God to give him wisdom and strength to deliver on the mandate of his constituency.
