“Work doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do every day” they say, but as humans with blood and flesh, at somr point in our lives we all need to rest.

Comptroller Yusuf Nadabo Garba Rtd
was born in 1963 and hails from Gombe in Northeastern Nigeria, he graduated from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1987 but joined the service two years after in 1989.
He grew from the ranks to the post of Deputy Comptroller of Customs, working in the defunct Niger-Kwara-Kogi command, Deputy Comptroller Terminal PTML, Lagos.
He was also Deputy Comptroller, Evaluation Apapa where he became Comptroller, and eventually moved to Kebbi Area command in February 2020 to August until his new posting as the Port Harcourt Area 1 command.
Despite the Covid -19 pandemic and its harsh economic reflection on the economy his command’s revenue generation was very stable, and still hit her annual revenue target of Eighty-Three Billion, one hundred and Ninety million, Six hundred and Sixty-six thousand, Five hundred and Ten naira, thirty -Five Kobo(83,190,666,510.25).
As at when he left, the current “monthly” revenue of the command was above Six billion, Nine hundred and thirty -two million, five hundred and fifty -five thousand, five hundred and forty-two naira fifty- three kobo. (6,932,555,542.53)
Comptroller Yusuf Nadabo Garba, has been an exemplary leader whom is worthy of emulation on all grounds, he has made his mark and have been one of the best people to have ever held the office of the “Comptroller Of The Nigerian Custom service” and left it far better than it was.

Although he has retired from his job, but many years to come his impact will continue to be felt.
He is an embodiment of hard work and optimism.
I am wishing him a long and enjoyable retirement in the best of health and happiness.
