A delegation of DJs Association of Nigeria led by the Deputy National President Thomas S. Abah (DJ Tomee Tee), has expressed a steadfast commitment to fostering a sustainable partnership with the Police for Gombe State’s peace and security.

He made this known during a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Commissioner of Police, CP Hayatu Usman, the DJAN delegation congratulated the CP on his prestigious office which they described as well deserved.
“As social entrepreneurs, there is need for us to have a cordial relationship with the Police, support you, and also inform you of some of our activities as security is now every man’s business,” DJ Tomee Tee added.

Acknowledging the vital role DJs play in uplifting society, CP Hayatu Usman emphasised the need for DJs to advocate peace and adherence to law and order. While appreciating the delegation’s visit, he cautioned against conducting business beyond midnight, citing a gubernatorial directive aimed at maintaining public order.
“There is an order from the Chief Security Officer -The Governor of the state…on the restriction of movement (though not a curfew) beyond 12 midnight…so whatever you do, we don’t want it to be till dawn, if you do so, it’ll be in violation of the law, which has been duly promulgated by the Governor.”
The CP assured the DJs that the law restricting movement post-midnight was crafted in the interest of peace, not to inconvenience anyone. Encouraging the promotion of peace and compliance with regulations, he expressed gratitude for the visit and affirmed an open-door policy.
Usman said, “Preach peace, preach obedience to law and order so that everybody can be happy…thank you for coming and identifying with us, it shows we are together, my doors are always open.”
In response, DJ Tomee Tee reiterated the importance of a harmonious relationship between DJs and the Police, adding that security is everyone’s responsibility.
He conveyed support and a desire for collaboration, he further expressed optimism to contributing to the overall well-being of Gombe State.
