The Katsina police on Thursday issued a five- day ultimatum to motorists who drive vehicles with unregistered or covered registration number .
The police warned that as from Monday, 11,December, 2023, it would start impounding any vehicle with no registration or covered registration number.
A statement by the command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu in katsina on Thursday confirmed the development.
The command observed that there had been profileration of vehicles with covered or without registration number in the state in recent times.
The statement declared, ” This is to inform the general public that, the Katsina State Police Command under the able leadership of CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa psc(+) has observed with great dissatisfaction the proliferation of driving motor vehicles in the state without or with covered number plates.
“In view of the above, the command is giving the motorists an ultimatum of Monday, December 11, 2023, to drive their vehicles with uncovered registered number plates or their vehicle will be impounded and face the full wrath of the law.”
