Alhaji Muhammad Mele Mamuda, has been elevated to the prestigious title of Muqaddas in Deba Emirate.

In a grand ceremony held at the historic palace of the Emir of Deba, Alhaji Muhammad Mele Mamuda, was formally bestowed with the distinguished title of Muqaddas, marking a significant moment in Deba Emirate of Gombe State.
Speaking earlier, Dr Habu Dahiru, the Gombe State Commissioner for Health, conveyed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of Alhaji Mamuda’s family.

Dahiru commended the Emirate’s choice, acknowledging Mamuda unwavering dedication to community development and his longstanding commitment to the well-being of the people.
“In Alhaji Muhammad Mele Mamuda, we find not only a man of profound wisdom but a stalwart champion of health and prosperity for the people of Deba. His appointment as Muqaddas is a testament to his exemplary service,” stated Commissioner Dahiru.
The Emir of Deba, Qs Ahmad Usman, elucidated on the reasons behind Alhaji Muhammad Mele Mamuda’s selection for this esteemed role.
Emir Usman emphasised Alhaji Mele’s track record of philanthropy and leadership, citing his pivotal role in various community initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of the Emirate’s residents.
“Alhaji Muhammad Mele Mamuda embodies the qualities we seek in a Muqaddas – a person of wisdom, compassion, and dedication to the prosperity of our people. His contributions to education, healthcare, Agriculture and social welfare have set a commendable standard,” remarked Emir Usman.
The event was graced by dignitaries, community leaders, and well-wishers from across Gombe State, reflecting the widespread support for Alhaji Muhammad Mele Mamuda and the recognition of the importance of the Muqaddas role in fostering community growth.
As Alhaji Muhammad Mele Mamuda humbly accepted the title, he expressed gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him and pledged to uphold the traditions and values of the Deba Emirate.
The ceremony concluded with vibrant celebrations, symbolic of the unity and optimism that the Muqaddas brings to the people of Deba.
