The Forum of Northern States SSGs has commiserated with the people and Government of Kaduna State over the recent Military operations that resulted in the death of civilians in Tudun Biri community.

The Forum’s Chairman and Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the condolence message in a remark at the opening of its meeting held at the General Hassan Usman conference hall Kaduna also prayed God against reoccurrence.

Njodi while congratulating his colleagues on their appointments reminded them of their critical responsibilities as engine room of their respective states.
He also stressed the need for the Forum to come up with meaningful policy ingredients that will help the Northern Governors focus on addressing peculiar development challenges of the region.

Njodi further reminded the Northern SSGs the reality of impending restructuring of the country whether physical or economic wise and the need to reposition the region so as not to be left behind in the affairs of the nation.
The meeting which is preparatory to that of the Northern States Governors Forum to be Chaired by Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, scheduled for tomorrow Friday is expected to among others review issues raised in the last meeting as well as prepare its agenda.
