Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps Gombe State Command has deployed 780 personnel, officers and men across the state before, during and after Christmas and new year celebrations in order to ensure a hitch-free festive period.
Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu gave the direction to Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Commanders drawn from the counter terrorism unit, Special weapons and Tactics Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosives, in a press statement issued to PERISCOPE NIGERIA by SC Buhari Sa’ad, the command’s Public Relations Officer.
According to Muazu, “the deploy will ensure adequate personnel are deployed at all vulnerable points across the state and also to safeguard all places of worships, critical infrastructures, designated markets, motor parks including recreational centres.”
While appealing to the members of the general public to be moderate in their celebration, maintained that personnel will display a high sense of vigour and professionalism while discharging their duties.
“The command assures members of the public that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Gombe State Command will be polite and civil but firm in ensuring security and safety of lives and property,” the statement partly added.
