The National Islamic Centre, Zaria (The Muslim Ummah), Gombe State chapter, has called on Government at all levels and other relevant agencies to ensure immediate compensation and justice for victims of the accidental drone attack on Tudin Birin village of Kaduna State.
The group made the call on Sunday in a communique co-signed by Dr Usman Ali Abdullahi, the state chairman of the group and Dr Abubakar Saidu, chairman, Sura Committee for the group and issued to newsmen in Gombe.
The Ummah said it was deeply saddened and disturbed by over the bombings of scores of innocent Muslims during a religious gathering (Maulud).
The group called on government to ensure that victims of the village attack were adequately and immediately compensated so as to help cushion the hardship that usually come after such incidents.
“We are calling on the government to ensure that the victims are immediately and judiciously compensated,” the group said.
The Ummah also prayed that the investigation ordered by President Bola Tinubu would be conducted with utmost professionalism and transparency it deserved and culprits brought to book.

The group further advised the leadership of the Nigerian military to henceforth be more professional in their operations in order to avoid such occurrence which usually result in the loss of innocent lives.
The Ummah also expressed worry over the incessant banditry activities in the North which it said had resulted into wanton disruption of economic ventures and social order.
The group described the activities of bandits as catastrophic and therefore called on the government to employ more of the non-kinetic approaches that can facilitate repentance and impede recruitment of the perpetrators.
“We advise the government and other stakeholders to come up with more programs and projects that would facilitate economic growth and create more employment opportunities,” the group said.
The Ummah also urged the government at all levels and other stakeholders to find solutions to the menace of food security which had been worsened by the catastrophic impacts of climate change.
