The Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association has honoured Secretary to Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, with an award of excellence in recognition of his contributions to good governance in Gombe State.
According to a press statement signed by Information Officer SGS’ office, Joshua Danmalam, Vice President of the association Engineer Ahmed Waziri Usman Gombe, presented the award to Njodi in his office on Thursday.
The statement disclosed that the association having carefully studied the commitment of Professor Njodi over the years considered him for the award in appreciation of his selfless service to the state and humanity.
Gombe further announced the appointment of Njodi as the North-East Zonal Council Trustee/ Patron of the association.
He also commended the SSG for answering the clarion call to serve the people of the state and assured of the association’s unwavering support to the Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration in its Quest to transform the state.
The NATA North-East Vice President disclosed that the association has about four million members in the zone comprising of Auto Mechanics, Panel beaters, Auto Electricians, Fabricators, Iron benders,Auto Sprayers, Black Smiths and many others.

Receiving the award, Njodi appreciated the association for recognising his contributions to smooth running of government and assured that he will forever remain grateful to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for according him the opportunity to contribute to the development of the state.
Njodi used the occasion to commend members of NATA particularly those in Gombe State for their unalloyed support to the policies and programmes of the state government.
While dedicating the ward to Governor Yahaya and the people for cooperation to the functions of his office further assured his renewed commitment to the peace and stability of the state.

Meanwhile, Njodi has tasked religious leaders to always preach and promote peaceful coexistence among their followers and society at large.
He gave the charge when he played host to new executive members of Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria WOWICAN who were at his office on a familiarisation visit.
Njodi also reminded them of the task ahead especially in leading a congregation of diverse people with different orientations enjoining them to remain focused, transparent and accountable in the discharge of their respective responsibilities.

He also assured them of government’s continued support.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria Mrs Mercy Laraba Francis, said they were in the SGS’ office to interface and register their loyalty and support to the developmental strides of Governor Yahaya.
Francis added that the association is committed to supporting the peace efforts of the state government.
