He said he was in Sokoto for an official engagement when he received phone calls to be intimated of the fire incident.
He maintained that he woke up around 5:00am of last Wednesday just to notice over 20 missed calls from his family members which made him to suspect that something bad had happened.
Ibrahim, “When I woke up around five o’clock in the morning, I saw over 20 missed calls, as such I suspected that the bandits might be in my house.
“I summoned the courage and called back one of the missed call numbers only to be told that, my house was completely gutted by fire and my two little children Zainab and Aminatu were dead.”
He further disclosed that, “Up till this time I am talking to you, nobody can tell the real cause of the fire accident”.
“I was told by my two wives that, they just woke up by an unbearable hit caused by formidable but hungry flames almost every where in the house.
“There was no light in the area as at the time of the accident, and nothing like leakages from the cooking gas cylinders in the kitchen or use of mosquito coil.
“In fact everybody was asleep then as according to the information made available to me.
“Only that my two little female children remained inside the burning rooms as they could not help themselves out due to fiercely generated smoke and the unfriendly hit that might have discouraged them to succeed their struggle to open the doors for safety.
“There were nine family members comprising two wives and seven children in the house.
“Seven of them were lucky to escape and the two little girls Zainab and Aminatu were overpowered and killed by the raging fire.
“The whole house was completely razed down by the fire and all the properties were lost,” Ibrahim said.
