The Information Officer Secretary to Government of Gombe State office, Joshua Danmalam, has extended love to some aged in Kaltungo Local Government Area of the state.
According to Danmalam, his disposition was in the spirit of Christmas, adding “I visited and presented gifts of wrappers with some token amount to some elderly persons in my community today.”
Commenting further Danmalam disclosed that “One of them who was over one 100 years old Iya Lateke as she is fondly called prayed and showers blessings on me in our local Tangale dialect thus; ” Joshua! Yam WOKKO, Yam Mon-ik- tom, Yam unduk sor tidda.”
Danmalam noted that the prayers were not limited to him as he ascribed his attainment to God and to the visionary leadership of Gombe State Governor and SGS, “Others too also expressed gratitude and wished me God’s blessings extending the same to His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, and the SGS Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi who due to their exemplary leadership and support I am where I am today and prayed for God’s wisdom and success in carrying out state affairs,” he explained.
Danmalam also enjoined residents to extend hands of love to others stressing that “Indeed there is joy in giving, as we celebrate this season of Christmas, let’s show love towards one another no matter how little.”
