…..hosts 50 beneficiaries of NSCDC, Immigration slots
The Minority Whip of the House of Representatives and member representing Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency of Gombe State, Ali Isa, has presented over 17,000 bags of rice and six cows to no fewer than 20 wards and religious organisations in his constituency for the celebration of Christmas and New Year.
This is contained in a press statement signed on Monday by the Ahaziah Suleiman, Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker House of Representatives attached to the office of Minority Whip and Media Coordinator of Minority Whip’s office.
According to him, the palliative was to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal, adding that the items to Ward Heads of the main opposition Party the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Billiri, Cham and Talasse in Gombe State.”Honourable Ali Isa JC, wishes the people a merry Christmas and prosperous new year. The gesture was to augment what the people have for the celebration of the Christmas and New year considering the economic hardships being experienced in the country.
“Each beneficiary in the two Local Government Areas which make up the Constituency was given a bag of rice, a token amount of money and cows to the Christian Association of Nigeria Balanga and Billiri Local Government Areas branches,” the statement partly read.
Meanwhile, Isa, recently organised dinner in honour of 50 youths from Gombe State whom he assisted to get enrolled into the Nigerian Immigration Service and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.
Speaking at the Dinner in Gombe, Isa said apart from assisting the youth get employed into various Ministries and Agencies of government at the National and State level, “I will continue to ensure that not only the people of my Constituency, the State, Northern Nigeria; but indeed Nigerians as whole enjoy the benefits that come with democracy,” he said.
Isa announced plans to drill and install 20 solar powered boreholes across Balanga and Billiri Local Government Areas of Gombe State in which already three have been completed within his first six months in office in the National Assembly.
He called on the people of the area to continue to pray for peace and support him in his efforts to bring more projects to the Constituency and the state at large.
“We will ensure that whatever was due to Balanga/Billiri, Gombe South and the state does not elude the people,” the statement added.
