The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, attended the Special Presidential Panel on Social Investment Programmes meeting on Monday, at the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja.
The meeting sought to establish modalities to enhance Social Investment Programmes for greater transparency and effectiveness.

The Panel, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Chief Wale Edun, is comprised of the Coordinating Minister of Health & Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate; Minister of Information & National Orientation, Hon Muhammed Idris Malagi; Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijjani; and the Minister of State for Youth, Ayodele Olawande.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR set up and assigned the panel to conduct a thorough review and audit of the financial frameworks and policy guidelines for social investment programs. The goal is to re-engineer the financial architecture and modify implementation procedures for the programs.
Committed to implementing transparent governance frameworks, the panel aims to restore confidence and usher in a new era of accountable operations, prioritizing the benefit of disadvantaged households nationwide.
