The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is anticipating a favourable judgement at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, as the Governor, His Excellency RT. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, against the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
The PDP won 21 local government areas in Delta State, while the APC candidate managed to secure only 4 local government areas during the March 2023 gubernatorial election.
Oborevwori’s Unmatched Court Record:
This victory marks another chapter in Governor Oborevwori’s unmatched court record, as he has never lost a court case throughout his political career. The Supreme Court’s decision to reserve judgement in the case between Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and His Excellency, RT Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has been praised as a solid victory for democracy in Delta State.
A God-Fearing Governor:
Governor Oborevwori is known for his humility, fear of God, and hands-on approach to governance. He has been praised for his street credibility and ability to relate with the people.
The PDP urges the APC to embrace the incoming judgement in the interest of Delta State and trust the process, as they believe that God and the people of Delta State are on Governor Oborevwori’s side
A Bright Future for Delta State:
With this victory, Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated his commitment to serving the people of Delta State and ensuring their voices are heard. His administration is expected to continue delivering dividends of democracy and fostering a positive environment for growth and development in the state through the M.OR.E AGENDA program of His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori.
In conclusion, the PDP is confident that Governor Oborevwori will continue to serve the people of Delta State well and uphold their interests at the Supreme Court. As the party urges the APC to accept the incoming judgement, they remain steadfast in their support for Governor Oborevwori and his vision for a prosperous Delta State.
