Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, represented by the Secretary Gombe State Government has paid condolence visit to the Shehu of Borno HRH Dr Abubakar Ibn Garbai Amin El-Kanemi, over the demise of Waziri of Borno, Alhaji Yarima Mustapha Muktar, and the Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri Professor Aliyu Shugaba, over mother’s death.

Conveying Governor Yahaya, government and people of Gombe State’s condolences, Njodi noted that though death is inevitable on all mortals lossing loved ones has always remained tough experiences for the living.

He admonished the griefing families to take solace in the fact that both the two deceased lived worthy lives leaving behind worthy descendants.
Professor Njodi informed the two families of Governor Yahaya’s deepest sorrow on receiving the disturbing news of the passing away of the deceased, praying Allah to forgive their shortcomings and grant them Aljanna Firdausi.

Responding, the Shehu of Borno El-kanemi, appreciated Yahaya for sending a high-powered delegation to commiserate with him and the entire Borno people over the lost of Waziri Yarima Mustapha Muktar.
El-kanemi also thanked the Gombe Scribe Professor Ibrahim Njodi a title holder of Shetiman Ilumuye of Borno for always identifying with Borno people in all situations, describing the long standing relationship between the people of the two states as cordial.
In his response, the Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri, Professor Aliyu Shugaba, who spoke through a family member expressed gratitude to the governor, government and people of the state for coming to share in their moment of grief and prayed Allah to reward them.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the departed and the families, the fortitude to get over the difficult moment.
The Gombe State SSG was accompanied by the Commissioner for Higher Education Mohammed Shetima Gadam, Permanent Secretaries of the Bureau for Public Service Abubakar Hassan Special Duties and Political Matters Salihu Adamu Sambo, Principal Private Secretary to the Governor Mohammed Usman Shanu, and Directors of Special Duties and Political Matters Bala Sarki, and Director Cabinet Usman Baba, among others.
