Struggling Gombe United has been docked three points, three goals, to pay N3.5m fine, as well suspension of its Coach for three matches for various offences.
League Management Company issued the sanction following complaints by stakeholders.
The fine of N3.5m, deduction of three points and three goals was sequel to offences committed in their last home league match against Rivers United on Sunday.
Our correspondent gathered that N1m for repeated offence of not providing adequate security in matchdays. Another N1m for repeated offence of throwing objects to the pitch by their fans and additional N1m for misconduct capable of bringing the match to disrepute.
While N500k for the centre, Sa’id Abdul’Aziz referee and his assistant, Cletus Adewebi as compensation for the assault on them.
The statement partly read, “Gombe United to play their next home matches before the mid-season behind closed doors.
“Gombe United head coach, Babaganaru suspended for next three matches for inciting the fan against match officials.”
