The Kano State Police Command on Wednesday arrested a fake doctor, Chidera Ugwu, and other person for allegedly injecting a pregnant woman to death.
This is contained in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna, obtained by our correspondent on Wednesday.
“On 20/12/2023 at about 1030hrs, report was received from one Nura Balarabe of Tofa LGA Kano that one Ukasha Muhammed, aged 19 years, of Langel Village, Tofa LGA Kano impregnated his sister, Amina Bala, aged 19 of Kwanar Mahuwa Tofa LGA Kano,” the statement partly read.
He said Muhammad conspired with one Chidera Ugwu, 24, of Lanbum Banki Tofa LGA Kano and administered injections and drugs to the said Amina Balarabe with intent to cause miscarriage which resulted to her death.
The police Spokesman said the suspects were arrested and had since confessed to the crime adding that investigation revealed that Ugwu has allegedly been administering fatal injections to pregnant women, leading to tragic consequences.
