Change of environment is one of the hardest things to do.
It takes courage and discernment to relocate even within the same region. Fear, anxiety, uncertainty, everything seems to happen.
These are the moments you wait and listen for that small still voice from God, expecting the same as at when He told Moses “go, I have prepared the land for you”.
You prayed and waited, but it takes days, which turn into weeks, months. During all of these, thoughts played games in the mind. Discouraging words from friends, people known and unknown, search engines become an inval friend. Googling locations, best places, security, and social status of the place.
The anxiety or fear of what if this! What if that! What if I don’t go! Questions that will never have an answer. But in all seriousness you want to try, words of discouragement are more than enough to keep you put.
It takes a brave mind to try, to beat fears and doubts. Being brave isn’t an assurance that it will work. It’s only a Game of LOT, where you win or lose. But just trying means something, after all said and done, trying means victory, amidst the fear.
Away from home is a blessing, and the loneliness brings you closer to your dreams.
I tried, and it’s working.
Happy 1 year anniversary to me in Gombe State.
I tried, and it’s working.
