The Transmission Company of Nigeria has released a statement notifying residents of the Federal Capital Territory that there will be a scheduled six-hour power interruption on Saturday.
TCN stated that this would allow their maintenance team to perform a planned routine maintenance on their 132kV line 1 at both Gwagwalada and Apo Transmission Substations.
The commission’s spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah, in a statement on Friday, disclosed that the maintenance is slated to hold from 9am to 3pm.
Consequently, Mbah said there would be power interruption at the 132/33kV Kukwaba Transmission Substation for six hours on Saturday.
According to the General Manager of TCN Public Affairs, certain areas such as Lokogoma, Kabusa Garden, TradeMore, Pyakasa, Aherita, Chika, Games Village, Stadium, Wuye, Utako, Life Camp, and Idu will experience an impact.
