The Gombe State African Democratic Congress candidate for 2023 gubernatorial election, Nafiu Bala, has been nominated by National Association of Nigerian Students for Peace Ambassador 2024.
This was contained in a letter for nomination and endorsement by students! for Peace Ambassador 2024 dated February 6 which was signed by Danladi Aliyu-Yahaya, Private Permanent Secretary, NANS Headquarters which was obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA.
According to the letter, Bala’s nomination was a sequel to NANS consultation and assessment, adding that the gubernatorial candidate shows traits of being students friendly.
“In correspondence to the above subject matter, we humbly write on behalf of the Apex umbrella body of Nigerian students’ Union both in the country and in diaspora (NANS).
“After due consultations and careful assessment by the above named association across the six geo political zone.
“We find you worthy and deem necessary to recognise you with this award of excellence as the students’ friendly ambassador of the year 2024,” the letter partly read.
While disclosing the importance of the ambassadorial award, the NANS letter noted that Bala would be bestowed the honour on Sunday.
NANS letter added, “This comes in line with your selfless service to students and humanity at large. DATE: Sunday, 11th February, 2024. Accept the union’s warmest regards.”
