In spite of assurances made by the Independent National Electoral Commission of its readiness to conduct today’s rerun elections as of 10:30 am materials were yet to arrive in several affected polling units.
In several polling units in Igbo-Eze North and Udenu rerun elections for the federal constituency were taking place, INEC officials arrived at polling units at 10:20 am and 10:30 am respectively.
In Igbo Eze North, accreditation and voting commenced in Ette, Esodo, Umuitodo, and Umozzi at about 10:15 am while in Udenu, polling commenced in units in Orba, Obollo-Afor, Obollo- Etiti, Amalla, and Uduledem at exactly 10:30.am.
In Enugu South where the election for the State House Assembly (Urban constituency election), polling was said to have started in many polling units around 9:45 am and 10 am respectively. At Uwani Primary School, INEC officials arrived at exactly 9:48 am.
