The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tinka Point Nigeria Ltd, Alhaji Bala Bello Tinka, has been commended for his initiative aimed at developing education in Gombe State.
The Emir of Yemaltu Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu made the commendation during the commissioning of a block of classrooms constructed by Tinka Point in Kwali primary school of Yemaltu Deba local government area of the state.
Abubakar Aliyu said the project has provided a conducive environment for teaching and learning to take place without any hutches in the school.
Speaking at the event, the overseer Chairman of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim Aliyu, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the people of the LGA for the project which he said will bring positive development in the area.
He also drew the attention of the people of Kwali town to ensure that they used the classrooms and the equipment provided in the right way.
In his speech, the Chairman of Tinka Point Nigeria Limited Tinka thanked the people of Kwali town for their support and cooperation to the workers on site during the construction.
Tinka said it’s part of his plan to always show love to the poor children by giving them necessary support not only in education but in all aspects of human endeavour, as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
The MD Tinka point also promised to renovate all dilapidated classrooms in the primary school.
In his remarks, the district head of Kwali Town Alhaji Inusa Ahmed, said it was the first time in the history of the town that such a huge project is exercised in the community by an individual or company.
