The Kaltungo Divisional Police Station on Wednesday night paraded 11 suspects for varying offences including theft of government property, conspiracy and trespass.
Parading the suspects Gombe State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, noted that three persons namely; David Garba, 23 years of Lapan ward Shongom, Isah Mamuda of Nassarawo ward in Kaltungo, and Ahmed Mamuda, aged 28 years of Nasarawo ward in Kaltungo, were arrested based incredible intelligence for stealing property belonging to government.

He said, “Acting on a credible intelligence the suspects were intercepted in possession of a submersible pump suspected to have been stolen, where the exhibits were recovered and suspects were detailed for investigation.”
Abubakar explained that, “further investigation revealed that the property in question belonged to the Federal Ministry of Environmental Forestry Research Institute Kaltungo branch which was removed some days ago alongside some pipes and electrical cables, the suspects confessed to have engaged in such criminal activities within Kaltungo axis.”
Also, paraded for theft and causing grievous harm were group of eight including Samaila Francis, aged 25 years; Salmanu Jibril aged 20 years; Daniel Danladi, aged 20 years; Jessy Jackson, aged 18 years; Ezekiel Kadiri aged 17 years old, Abdulrahman Hassan, 18 years old; and Ali Rabiu, aged 22 years old; Sirajo Abdullahi 18 years; while Sadik Hassan Dokoro, was said to be at large.
According to Abubakar, one Salihu Usman, and Kadus Hasari, reported at Kaltungo Division that the suspects conspired with one Sani Yunusa, alias 2.4 and Dahiru Audu, alias attacker from Banganje ward now at large and broke into their stores.
“The suspects carted away the following items: Ten Bags of Maize (#500,000), one mattress (#70,000), Twelve empty Sacks valued (#3000) and sold two bags of maize to one Ibrahim Usman, of Kumo, Akko LGA, and one Ali Rabiu, of Sansani Billiri LGA bought six bags of the maize while other exhibits recovered include : One long dagger, one heavy iron cutter used in breaking the stores and One Bajaj motorcycle for conveyance of the stolen items.
“All cases will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations,” the Police Public Relations Officer added.
