Bandits have shockingly demanded an exorbitant sum of N40 trillion in exchange for the release of the 16 residents who were taken captive from the Gonin Gora region of Kaduna.

John Yusuf, who is a community leader, mentioned that the bandits got in touch with the victims’ families and asked for 11 Hilux vans and 150 motorcycles.

“The bandits have contacted us. They are demanding N40 trillion, 11 Hilux vans and 150 motorcycles for the release of 16 people they are holding captive,” he said.

Some security experts have in turn frowned at the boldness of bandits who make huge demands from community members ascribing the high ransom to reason insecurity remains on the rise.

They should have demanded for the whole budget of the country. Didn’t they use their phones to contact the families? Why the security agencies can not trace the location, ources and the owner of those phones
