No fewer than 200 small-scale businesses located in Abuja were on Saturday empowered by Gbenga Hashim Foundation.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA gathered that the Foundation spent the sum of 10 million Naira towards empowering the owners of the 200 businesses.
According to a press statement by the management the initiative aims to provide support to entrepreneurs who are in need of financial assistance to scale their businesses.
“The GHF recognises the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in driving economic growth and providing employment opportunities. With this in mind, the foundation has taken significant steps to provide a much-needed boost to the local business community in Abuja and this will be replicated across the states in Nigeria,” the statement added.
The founder is a former presidential candidate and a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.
