Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, says the immediate past administration led by Nasir El-Rufai, left behind huge debt burden of $587 million, 85 billion Naira in debt in the state.
Sani made this disclosure on Saturday in a town hall meeting held with residents of Kaduna State.
Decrying the impact of the debt burden on the current administration, said “Despite the huge debt burden of 587 million Dollars, 85 billion Naira, and 115 Contractual Liabilities sadly inherited from the previous administration, we remain resolute in steering Kaduna State towards progress and sustainable development.”
He disclosed of his administration’s effort to salvage the situation, “We have conducted a thorough assessment of our situation and are sharpening our focus accordingly,” Gov Sani said.
