Taraba State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Aishat Barde, on Friday used the occasion of International Women’s Day to hail men.

In her message, the Commissioner acknowledged the admirable qualities of women, including their unwavering commitment, formidable strength, resilience, resistance, and multitasking abilities across a variety of domains.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the theme for this year’s celebration is “Invest In Women: Accelerate Progress.”

Barde emphasised the importance of men’s support and assistance for women to achieve their full potential in society.
She expressed her appreciation to all the men who have generously extended their aid and support to women.
The Commissioner thanked Governor Agbu Kefas for giving women the opportunity to showcase their potential to serve the people of Taraba towards achieving his “Moving Forward Agenda.”
She urged women not to relent in their rightful and equal role in Nigeria.
She commended the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Agyan Agbu Kefas, for empowering women and youth through skills acquisition schemes in the state.
The Commissioner also applauded her colleague, the Taraba State Commissioner of Women Affairs and Child Development, Honourable Merry Sijen, for her ministry’s efforts to empower women in line with Kefas’s transformation agenda for both infrastructure and human development in the state.
In conclusion, she urged women to continue praying and supporting Dr Agbu Kefa’s administration to succeed as mothers.
